Sorry some pics are horrible. They wouldn't cooperate and I have nosey cochins. Figured this would be the best place to get opinions on EEs.

You've already been answered on these chicks on a previous thread. Nugget is the only girl. Parmesean has rooster red through the wing/shoulder, Popeye's comb is too developed and he has gold leakage through the shoulder, and Rosco also has too much comb development, too early.

I understand your point June. My point is that calcium is not even readily used by the body if magnesium is not optimal. So large amounts of calcium are deposited in the kidneys without the catalyst that is magnesium. In other words calcium becomes hard and unuseable without it. The same is true for vitamin d.

Did you even read any of those links? It's not magnesium, but phosphorous that is needed.

Yes I've been answered before but it wasn't in a thread specifically for EEs and more then one opinion is always helpful in my eyes. Some may have different opinions and since I had only gotten 2 opinions on my previous post and one before where YOU said nugget and Parmesean both looked like cockerels, I didn't see the harm in asking the EE community. My apologies.

I admit humbly I am new to chickens but I have studied health and nutrition at great lengths for many years. I hope we are sharing information and not arguing. I have no desire for that. I did read your links. Yes, phosphorus is important but magnesium is critical. Thank you for the info.

One study concluded that magnesium levels did not have the same impact that phosphorus did. Birds metabolize things differently than mammals.

I said that they both looked like they might be cockerels. Didn't say it was 100%, as they were still a bit too young. Nugget's coloring evened out. Parmeseans got more patchy.

This thread explained it pretty well.

Yes it did, being that's the one I mentioned only getting a few opinions. I wasn't aware that I could only ask once or that I couldn't get the opinion of these wonderful people in the EE club. But the point is that I didn't ask you specifically about them so you didnt have to reply.
