Easter Egger club!

Wow, 25! Any pics?
Yes, my goodness! It will be later today before I can get them to you. We had a set of 12 that I incubated and 13 under 2 hens who went broody after I had incubated the above (3 weeks later-heehee).

Way to many chickies at one time, but we got through it...Lots of fun, lots of work too! Kinda neat to see what our main flocks produced...waiting patiently to see how they will all feather out. The first group is at 15 weeks and the second group at 12 weeks. Talk to you soon!

Thanks... she was always terrified of me now this week she has started following me around and not flying 3 feet straight into the air when I try to touch her. Maybe she is getting closer to laying and is getting friendlier?
I thought Cleo was kind of a Plain Jane but now I like her clean face and brown coloring.
I hope I get some green eggs from a few of them!! These are my first chickens ever so I don't know what to expect.
Nancy: our Lily was the hardest to catch and very flighty when she was a pullet....THEN she started laying eggs and understood I was the food person! LOL. She still is quite the fast whiz bing...but she went from my most aloof to most charming. I think she understands we mean no harm now. LOL. She cracks me up. And I kind of like that she's so agile and saavy.

That's good to hear. I just want to pet them all the time and they pretty much want nothing to do with that, but hopefully soon. They all eat from my hand, come running when I open the treat cabinet and food bin so they already associate me with good things. That's the most important thing I'm sure. I'll be patient and wait them out.

What purty birdies!
