Ok, so my next question is, if I put a French blue maran over a blue ameraucana could I (potentially) get olive eggers?

Does a French blue marans lay the deep chocolate eggs too?? I am obsessed with the deep chocolate, rich speckled chocolate and olive colored eggs, ok, I am really just obsessed with any uniquely colored egg and REALLY want to add more colors to my basket, I have 1 green, 2 tan and 2 cream right now.

I guess there is one way to find out ;-)

Lol!!! Don't dare me! It's really, really good roosters are illegal in lakewood!

Are they illegal because of the crowing or just in general. There are decrowed roos out there. I have one and my nieghbors are non the wiser.

I think because of the crowing, but I don't really know for sure! Was it expensive to decrow?

A bit but worth it. I got mine from Dr James (bluedogsonly on byc) back in July . He has a few ready now. There is a thead called "decrowed roo" it tells about the surgery and has a link to his webpage on the last page.
