8-week old EE pullets, no names yet. Very excited to have them! They're still feathering out. About how long does that take the average EE?

They will go through several juvenile molts until they are about 5 to 6 months old. And in case you were wondering, you have a cockerel and a pullet.

How pretty. I like the lighter one, but they are both pretty.
- If both parents each have one copy of the blue egg gene and one copy of the brown egg gene, statistically speaking 25% of the offspring will lay blue/teal eggs, 25% of the offspring will brown eggs and 50% of the offspring lay green eggs.

- If one parent has one blue and one brown gene while the other parent has one blue gene and one white gene, then the offspring will 25% of each of these colors; pink, green, blue and blue tinted.

- if both parents each have one blue egg gene and one white egg gene, 25% of the offspring will lay white, 25% of the offspring will lay blue and half of the offspring will lay blue-tinted eggs.

- if one parent has 2 copies of the blue gene and the other parent has one each of blue and brown, then half the offspring will lay blue and half will lay green.

I could go on, but I won't. Sorry if I went overboard... I love Mendelian Genetics.

I'm not sure about Easter Eggers but the Murray McMurray Hatchery can sex 100% (most of the time it's a 1 in a million chance you'll get the wrong sex) but they provide Americaunas and Aracaunas

Check out Meyer Hatchery, they have wonderful chickens and do have EE pullets now. Ours are 14 wks so not sure egg colors yet, but they'd lay different anyways. Good luck

Actually we almost did go for moriarty but we wanted a Cersei we have a Jon snow, Daenerys, Sansa, and Arya lol we almost chose Darth Vadar for one and Kahn

We have one chicken named after my DH's player character from a D&D game and 2 chickens were named after my pc's from a D&D game! However none of the Marvel or DC hero names fit any of our flock

!!! I love Wonder Woman and am considering "Diana" for the next pullet!
