Hey! I realize that EE’s do not have specific colors because they are mixed breeds but was still wondering what these two are similar to. I’m not very familiar with chicken breeds and colors, I only assume my Snuggles is probably “Buff”. I have no idea about Aviendha though.

Aviendha seems to be turning grayish. Sometimes from a distance I get her and my Sapphire Gem mixed up!

1# (Snuggles) appears to be something along the lines of wheaten colored. 2# (Aviendha) looks something like wheaten x blue. :)

That's part of the fun with EEs... Sometimes you get new color variations that no one has names for yet! :p:jumpy

Would you mind if I included a couple of your pics of Aviendha and Snuggles on my website (thewayofthechicken.com)? I have a post on Easter Eggers and would like to include more colors for people to reference (most of my EEs where either silver, black, brown/partridge or blue). I'd be happy to attribute any images used to you or whoever took the pics. :)

That would be no problem. And thanks for your opinion on their coloring. I’ve been so interested to see what they were going to look like since all the rest of my birds are not mixed breeds and do have “typical” coloring.

Here they are less than a week old

Aviendha is on the left, Snuggles on the right. The other is my BLRW, Diamond.

Thanks! :) Would you like to be anonymous or would you like me to include a reference to you on the photo (if so, what is your real name)?
