Easter Egger egg color has changed?

One year I had a couple EEs in with my brown egg laying pullets, when they began to lay someone was laying a white egg. This went on for a while and I tried to catch the white egg layer, I thought one of my WRs was a leghorn! Then when I finally saw her lay it was the EE. Soon I started getting 2 blue eggs and she lays a blue egg now.

EE's dont lay the same color constantly! Where i board my horse, their EE lays Green colored and A like pink! I hope this helps!!!

Thanks everybody - I was worried since I hadn't seen a green egg in a long while and wondered if something was wrong with her. Since she doesn't seem to be sick or hurt, and is acting normal, I won't worry about it

I know this is an old thread, but I have an issue that relates... I have a hatchery Easter Egger that is about 4 years old now. She has always laid light mint green eggs. I hatched some olive eggers out of her and my welsummer that turned out fantastic! But that's another topic . So, she molted this year and I thought hadn't laid eggs in some time. Maybe she was done? Well, I started getting some pink blushed eggs that I thought were from my young Welsummer x RIR hens. But, I think don't think they are! The last week I have been getting my max eggs a day (one from every girl) often and no green eggs in the bunch, but these pink eggs have gotten very pale. The ONLY explanation is that my green egg laying girl is now laying pink eggs. Could her diet be causing a change in shell color? They are free range on our small farm for about 4 hours a day, plus kitchen scraps and layer pellet.

I have an EE who got a respiratory infection. She's recovering in segregation and doing well. Her eggs have now turned brown. She was an olive egger, they turned mint and now brown. Not just tinted, but beautiful brown. Are her eggs good despite her illness ? the color doesn't matter I know but I've read they shouldn't be used and she shouldn't be returned to population. We didn't take her to a vet.

I have only 4 chickens, 1 Wellsummer, 2 Brahmas and 1 Easteregger. It is very easy to identify which birds layed which eggs. The two Brahmas lay a large med brown egg. The Welsummer lays terracotta speckled eggs and the Easteregger layed longer more pointed pinkish eggs. They have all been laying since late last summer. Well... I noticed that the Easteregger hadn't layed any eggs for about a week. Then, I opened the nesting box one day and there was a lovely green egg. She now lays a green egg about every 2 days. I thought whatever the color was to begin with, it would always remain that color. I am so pleased that she now lays green eggs because they are so different. I love to give them to friends and watch their faces...

I have 2 EEs. 1 started laying blue eggs near July 1. She was consistent for several weeks and then stopped. I did find 1 eaten egg in the coop and wondered if she was eating them. So we were pretty vigilant. No other eaten eggs. No blue eggs. But we had been getting pink eggs (but thought we couldnt get pink eggs so called them really light brown eggs--we have 3 BOs and 3 RIRs as well).

The 2nd EE just started laying tiny blue eggs. The 1st blue eggs had started really small and gotten bigger.

I just had the thought that maybe the 1st EE started blue and then changed to pink? I am positive the 2nd EE just started laying, and her eggs are tiny.

It would explain why she 'stopped' laying after being so consistent. We have been keeping an eye on her hoping that there is nothing wrong. Now I will try to catch both EEs in the nest and see what eggs are produced.

My easter egger hens all started out with light brown or green, now I have several that lay blue eggs. No one is hiding eggs.
Especially omelet, she has literally laid all the colors. Her daughter however is an olive egger, always has been

I have a flock of 24 total with 4 EEs. The first 3 eggs Igot were a pale green and havent had another for a month. But I have had lots of pink ones. They either changed colors or quit laying.

One of my easter Eggers laid a dirty looking egg but I've tried to clean it off but there is no change. Both hens were laying get pale mint the colored eggs. All the hens went through molting with no eggs for 3 month. Now I'm getting anywhere from 3 to 5 eggs a day.i know at least one of the Easter Eggers is laying cause every other day I got a mint egg. Then after a few days with no mint egg we find a dirty looking g green egg in the nest box
