I got her from a breeder of everything under the sun. I swear , that guy had chickens everywhere. He sold her to me for 3 bucks as a lavender ameraucana, but when I looked at her green legs and leg feathering, I knew she was an EE. She was worth 3.00 to me LOL. I wouldn't mind having a couple more if I had room.I just realized she has feathered feet! Is she your own mutation or did you get her from a hatchery?
man is chicken math addicting lol. I am starting up all my breeding pens and hope to be selling chicks, by spring or summer. First I decided I was going to breed LF and bantam BBS AMs and LF easter eggers. Then decided I didnt want to mess with bantam AMs. Then decided I want to breed RC brown leghorns (which are really hard to find! finally found someone in arkansas with hatching eggs). And I am still debating about russian orloffs. I have several people pushing me to breed the orloffs. They need to stop encouraging it lol! I get into enough chicken trouble on my own!I'm going to keep her with my Blue Copper Marans as I don't want to accidently breed her to my Blue Ameraucana roo. If I hatch any of her eggs it will be for olive eggers. I was wondering if she was a cochin cross. Hmmm... gets me to thinking. If I added a standard blue cochin to my Ammies if I could hatch ee's like Pearl. Mark eggs as a cochin lays a tinted egg, and I wont confuse with my Ammie eggs, and purple dot the chick in the brooder.![]()
