Easter Egger Flock Colors and Growth

Thank you all for this really helpful and fun thread! I just made the plunge into the EE world and just got my first EE! I have an OE already and it was a lot of fun trying to guess how they were going to feather out so I’m excited to go through this with my new EE.

So as we wait to see what she will grow up to look like, I’d love to see if anyone else had an EE chick that looked like her and what your EE looks like now! Here’s pics that I took yesterday while her and her broodermates were exploring the outdoors for the first time. She’s about two weeks old.

Those are beautiful birds. I was curious to see them because I bought my first easter egger chick on impulse at the feed store to add to a flock of chicks of the same age that I'd gotten through the mail from a hatchery. I had no idea what she would look like as an adult, so this gives me some idea. She looks very like your chicks with the dark head and back stripe and blonde cheeks. I understand that Easter Eggers aren't a breed, specifically, so they can all come out differently. I will be curious to see how much mine looks like yours at maturity.
