Easter Egger Gender?

Generally roosters are slower feather growers then hens, so some people search for a lack of tail feathers to confirm the sex of a rooster. Personally I would not solely rely on this method.

Tail feathering is not accurate. My Easter Egger cockerel feathered out faster than my two pullets. If they develop a bright pink/red comb before 10 weeks old, it is a guaranteed cockerel. My pullets just started turning red at 16 weeks old.

Yeah my girls are probably around 17 weeks now and they are still paleish pink and barely a comb.

Sorry for not replying. I was the one who asked for the pictures of the tails and a few of the responses above are incorrect. The first one I would say is a rooster because of the way some of his tail feathers are begin in g to curve down but I am not seeing any of that in the second song would say it's a hen. I have extensive experience raising and sexing young chickens (by looking at their feathers) and I'm fairly confident with my guess.
