Oof, that's a tough one! You can try some of the old wives tales like put chick in your hand on it's back and supposedly males will squirm around and put up more of a fuss than females. You can spread out wings and look for male/female feathering.
 
hmm maybe i will try that.. do you know if it works most of the time?
 
Are they straight run?

If there are any wing feathers you can fan them out. Two layers = pullet, single row = cock.
