Got photos of the offsprings if rooster has two copys of cheeks chicks will inherite one copy so all should be beardedJust an example of not knowing what is in the mix for Easter eggers, I bred a lavender Ameraucana rooster over some Blue Laced Rad Wyandotte hens, the lavender carries the black gene very strong so all the chicks hatched black -some with a little rust color around the head a some with blue around the head , but all are sporting beards and muffs. The other cross was over cream legbar hens, babies hatched black , but because of the hidden black gene it brought out the barred rock pattern of the legbar males again with full beard and muffs- looking at them you would never guess that they were made the way I crossed them ! And the awesome part is if I cross half brother and sisters to gather I could get a percentage of chickens that show lavender due to having the lavender split gene possibly from both parents !![]()

I will be posting pics as they growGot photos of the offsprings if rooster has two copys of cheeks chicks will inherite one copy so all should be bearded
That should be a awesome cross so many possibilities for wild colors most likely will have a large percentage with beards and be laying green eggs! If you make that happen be sure to keep everyone updated on your results .That's fun.I have a couple of Splash Laced Red Wyandotte hens that I have thought about breeding to our Splash Ameraucana roo. I'm glad to know that the chicks get the muffs and beards. Thank you for all of the details!
