i have not been having any luck incubating these eggs, two different sources and not much going on with either. other eggs doing good. are colored eggsharder to hatch or am i just having bad luck.

I didn't do anything before putting them in incubator, but there were several early quitters and one was fully developed but never pipped. I started other eggs at the same time and got 75% with those

It's weird that you've had bad luck with eggs from two different sources. I'd be inclined to say that it's just been bad luck.

I've noticed that my easter eggs are a little more difficult to candle than light brown or white. If I can't see well in an egg, I err on the side of caution and leave it in.

Are the chickens receiving proper nutrients? If they are low in certain vitamins and minerals their eggs will have a significant lower hatch rate.
