Easter Egger or Res Star?

Hi everybody! I'm getting some chicks soon and I'm either going to get some Red Stars or some Easter Eggers. Which one are better? (We are getting them to lay eggs. No noisy or flighty chickens as we live in the city. We want friendly egg layers)

Why not get some of each and have a basket of mixed color eggs? Red stars are egg laying machines - as such sometimes there are laying disorders. EE are generally not as prolific egg layers and more likely to go broody but are attractive and have great personalities. In my experience neither breed is particularly flighty. One plain and simple fact - at times almost all chickens can be noisy. Hens sing, cackle and announce the arrival of their eggs. It's their nature.
