My chicks are now 9 weeks old and one of the Easter Eggers I got is bigger than the rest and seems to have more curved and pointed tail/saddle feathers. This chick also seems to behave more protectively toward the other chicks. There is another pullet that has clearly established herself at the top of the pecking order, but she doesn't mess with this chick at all (unlike the rest, which she still messes with occasionally).

I've attached photos of this chick. It is the darkest of my Easter Eggers, deep brown with an auburn and golden neck.

I don’t see anything that will tell for certain it’s a cockerel. Looks like a pullet to me. The pea combs can be an easy tell, so if you could get an up close pic that would help. But at 9 weeks it should be easy to tell the difference between a cockerel and your pullets. The pea comb on the cockerel will be bigger and redder than your pullets.
