mine are about 23 weeks old. i will try and get a full body shot.

I want to say pullet but that tail feather is awfully pointed. I think a few more weeks will tell for sure.

for an almost 6 month bird I'd say pullet

Yeah I think its a pullet but just had to check. When should I be getting eggs?

well she could start now or hold out til spring. I am waiting for a few POLs to start myself. But a few years ago I had several "fall" POLs wait til spring to start laying, We had a alot of snow and a cold winter for our area that year. And it looks like we getting another cold one

. Is your chicken house light to keep the ladies laying though winter? That will help her start before spring

I don't have a light in there but its all open.

I'd guess pullet as well, given the age.


My EE don't tend to lay til about 28 weeks, but maybe you'll be luckier than me.
