Hello Everyone,
I am a first time chicken mama and I am wondering if one of my chickens is actually a rooster. I bought 6 different chickens from Blaine’s and they were all labeled as pullets. They are currently 7.5weeks old. One of my Easter Eggers has a tail that almost always sticks up so it’s making me think she could actually be rooster. This chicken doesn’t have any red coloring on the comb and it doesn’t look large in size. This chicken does have a crossbeak so I don’t know if that would have an effect on the comb at all. The shape of the saddle feathers seem to be comparable in shape to my other Easter Egger. This is also my smallest chicken. The chicken in question is the dark colored one and the light one is my other Easter Egger for comparison. If anyone can help it would be appreciated 😊

Pullets.

You'll want to keep an eye on the body condition of the black girl. That's a pretty good level of cross beak she has. It may help her to feed her from a deep bowl if she starts losing weight.
She does well eating out of the feeder and drinking water. She is also able to eat grass and bugs when they are free ranging. Her crossbeak hasn’t changed in the past month, but it’s something I’m still keeping an eye on.
