Easter Egger - Pullet or Roo?

OK... what's "Fair Oaks?" Letting your rooster out into the wild to fend for himself?

That was a regional reference - I saw that the original poster was from West Sacramento, and I'm from the same general area. Fair Oaks is a portion of Sacramento where beautiful chickens roam in bands, fending for themselves. Some people feed them. I also hear that there's a band of wild chickens near the zoo in Folsom, another nearby city.

I have two silver EEs and was hoping for girls.

Wow. Just wow. I cannot believe how much he looks like my Carl, who was also supposed to be a pullet.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but maybe the OP won't mind seeing another EE rooster as a sample.

kcaywood, your chicken looks so much like mine, except older! I think the coloring is so pretty, so neither my husband nor I want to eat him/her.

I noticed when I looked at Leiliana today that he/she is growing dark iridescent green tail feathers.

Errr...is this a roo-thing?
