Are Easter Eggers the only ones with those great green legs? Is that a sure sign that it is an EE and not an Ameracauna?

Thanks!!

Many Easter Eggers have green legs. Mine do. I'd say it's a sure sign that it's not a true Ameraucana. True Ameraucanas don't have green legs.

I'm sorry, I don't know if there are any other breeds that have green legs. Maybe someone else can help you with that...

I think that was my very first ? on this forum. I was told my 3 hens are EE's because they have green feet. They are beautiful, I also have some that have yellow feet too that are EE's.

Thanks!
I have five of them that all have bright to dark green legs. Between them they seem to have maybe three different comb types. Three of them have very poofy muffs and are getting beards...the colorings and markings are all very different from each other.

I am just trying to get familiar with different breeds and types and am bit curious as to what they are mixes of.

Thanks again for answering!

Any so called Amercuana with green legs or yellow legs are not the real thing, it would be classified as EE.

Most Amercuanas would have blue or black slate legs.

Pips and Peeps would respond to that one or someone else who is more knowledgable about their Amercuanas.

Maybe mixed with a light brahma? Mine are and they are getting beards and the muffs too, have 6 hens and 2 roo's and they are all different colors and only 3 of the hens have green feet and some of mine have the feathered feet.

When a chicken has green legs it is an indicator of yellow skin.

Real ameraucanas have white skin......I can't get anymore detailed than that because I can't remember all the specifics at the moment.
