Easter Egger Question

I've got an EE hen that is very independent, but gets alond well with everyone. I have a roo baby of hers that is pretty nice, but I have noticed that he too is pretty independent and keeps to himself.

My EEs dont cause problems with the other girls but one of them is super smart. She knows how to get out and I cant for the life of me figure out how. She walks right up to me and asks for treats for everyone and has always been friendlier to me than the others. I think my EEs even laid better this past winter than the RIR did.

our EEs are great egg layers, but are NOT blue, they're C7 in the green zone.
And someone is laying pink ones too. Don't know which one tho....

A lot bigger than our RIRs too.

Not aggressive either, come up to the door to see what I have in my hand....and they talk as they see me coming...They also peak into the coop when i go to check for eggs. So, I have to talk to whoever pops their head in....

EEs are some of the friedliest chickens, and they are not typically aggressive with other birds--not submissive, either. They tend to be sort of above the fray, not as interested in the pecking order as some other breeds. My Ameraucanas are the same way. EEs tend to have larger, more vividly colored eggs than Ameraucanas. I love them both.

I will be a nay-sayer! I absolutely wouldn't own them again! The few I had were given to me by a friend. They were wild as leghorns and egg-eaters! I tried raising some from hatchery stock and they were not sociable at all. I give them a D-.

they lay great all winter long, are very friendly and most of the roosters are pretty docile to humans.

My EE's are all pretty quiet and stay out of the other girls way. My roo is an EE and is not only calm but really pretty!

I adore my EEs (see avatar) which is why when I decided to breed just three kinds of chickens there was never any question about which breed would be first on the list. Mine are all wonderfully friendly, love to be carried around and petted and fed treats. I love the fact that I have a purebred flock of mutts that are all different colors too.

Ok, mine are wonderful too. The oldest one is friendly and smart and very loud when she wants out of the coop or when she announces her egg drop. She chases all other birds out of the yard. She talks constantly and lovvvvvvvves snacks. I like my RIR as well. She is no muss no fuss. Just get the job done. She hardly makes any noise at all.

I have had them in the past and they were fast and startled easily. They are a bit high strung but not mean. I loved their eggs. I had one that layed double yolkers. I have two now that are young and these aren't my favorite. They are jumpy and hard to catch. They are very curious though and they do come up to the fence and see me. I liked my black lorps alot better BUT the lorps were mean little broodies. I think EE might be better as they get a little older.
