Hello,
This is all new (posting and chickens) so please forgive. This post does not comply with the picture suggestions for sexing as I don't have access to all of my photos right now and I apologize. This bird was sold to me as a sexed EE and was to be a hen. It is only 9 weeks old, but is one of the largest birds of the nine I have. It is vocalizing in the morning, but not a real "crowing" yet. The comb is redder than the others and I see what I believe is the three rows of peas that I have read about. Is this slam dunk a rooster at this point of is it too early? I don't see any of the recognizable feathering yet, but going by the other points I was pretty certain. If the picture isn't enough I will have access to my photos hopefully later today.
Thanks

A full body picture would help.. For the most part, I am going to say roo. My girls did not have peas that big at 9 weeks, and still don't at 18 weeks.

Vent sexing is not fail proof, and they usually allow 10% error margin.

Sorry for the bad news, but I do believe this is a rooster.

with that comb already a good size and red plus the attempted crow/vocalization before its a cockerel

Thank you all. I have someone who is interested in taking him off my hands and I feel better about letting him go now.

I have a couple other suspect individuals that I will post this weekend. I have better pictures (head, side, top down) that I will post with those questions.
