Hi everyone

We have a small flock which was supposed to be 6 hens. We ended up with four hens and two roosters. The poor hens are getting overworked and have lost most of the feathers on their backs and necks. Sad to say we have to let one go. Here is "Diesel" an Easter Egger cockerel. He is 9 months old and in excellent health. We would like to find him a good home nearby. We are in Southeast Mass near the R.I. border.
Two pics from today, they free range in the back yard

Have you tried listing him on Craigslist? We just rehomed our EE roo last weekend with the nicest coup,e who have a huge new coop in the country. They send us pictures of Francisco and we can go visit anytime. Give it a try! Best of luck. He's handsome!

He is not aggressive unless he feels threatened. He is a bit skittish and will keep his distance until he is comfortable with you. Once comfortable he will usually keep an eye on you but leave you alone. He will eat treats from your hand. He protects the ladies and tidbits for them. He behaves like a normal rooster. We just don't have enough ladies to go around for two roosters. We are in Swansea MA near the Rehoboth border. I can assist in transportation within a reasonable distance if needed.
