She is not the prettiest but if she lays a blue egg I will be satisfied lol. I never ended up getting more babies. I decided to wait until spring. We built the new coop but the new birds are still getting picked on by the bigs. So I have the small coop inside the big coop and the small birds get locked in there at night. We still aren't finished bc I want a solid wood hen house on the upper left quadrant with a plank ladder for them to get up in there. The overall dimension I think was 8' x 6' and the height on tallest side is about 8'.

Looks like a pullet for sure. Yay! I hope you get some blue eggs out of her soon. Thanks for updating us!

I'm not sure what mix this EE is, but they hatched from pretty bluish eggs, they have lightly feathered legs so maybe brahma mixes? The pea comb is pretty clear though.

Chick #1 had pulletish coloring but it's comb is pinking up now....

Chick #2 couldn't get the face, but it's comb is less pink than chick #1

How old are they? That first comb is looking pretty boyish.

They are nearly 5 weeks old. I was afraid that all 3 I hatched are boys and I'm still thinking that is the case. Bummer but I have a few more tries in my incubator due on the 1st.
Oh, so young! In that case, the first one is most probably a cockerel. The coloring on the 2nd one makes me think cockerel as well, but can't be sure without seeing the comb. You can compere their combs, not by color but by shape. 1st pic is showing 3 rows of bumps. The 2 running on either side of the main ridge are smaller. On pullets, you will only see the single center ridge and not much, if any color.
