People ok I don't care I'm just saying that the person who posted that pic said it was a Araunacana and Im sorry I didn't think one mistake would turn into a big deal just cause I messed one thing up ok sorry my bad now please stop I'm very sorry u don't understand my life right now and u probably don't want to no. sorry again
And again and again

PS I'm sorry

:hugs. You don't need to apologize, it's a very common mistake! Sadly, people falsely advertise all the time. To this day my local feed INSISTS their EE's are Ameraucana (sp?). The folks here aren't mad at you, they're just trying to help. :)

well thanks but they seem mad in my view

First time chicken keeper here - any chick knowledge is appreciated!

This is Saga. She was hatched on 08Feb so she'll be 7 weeks old on Monday. I bought her from my small town feed store as a sexed pullet (from Ideal). At the time I didn't know that wasn't an ironclad guarantee of a hen. Hopefully I'm in that 85-90%!

Still too early to tell?
Her comb seems pinker when she's running around and excited vs. sitting on her roost napping.

I also have a BR and SLW the same age. I fell for the Santa Claus face and went back to the feed store a few weeks later for 3 more EEs. Chicken math struck before I even knew what it was!! I'll post their pics when they are older!

So far, it looks like a pullet!

You are still in the can-change-greatly time frame. If it still looks mostly like this in a couple of weeks, then pullet for sure.

[COLOR=333333]I got these 2 chooks from the feed store and was told they were sexed 85-95% female. They were labelled Ameraucana but I assume they are actually Easter Eggers. I've been worried that one or both of my chicks are Roos since 4 weeks. They are now around 6 weeks. Neither have yellow combs. The red/brown one is a few days older and has a slightly darker comb but in photo 4 your can see where the lighter one's comb is starting to darken on the side slightly.  The brown/red one is looking and acting more ladylike. Brown/red one seems very timid but sweet and is developing more of a hen like body, tail and feather pattern. The lighter one has a slightly lighter comb and round hackles, but has become more dominant and likes to chase the brown one. It has even tried to challenge my much larger, year old hens. It's feather color, splotchy pattern, pointy tail and aggressiveness make me worried that it is a rooster?? I just wanted to see if I may be wrong before attempting to re-home. What to you guys think? I hope they're not both rooms.

They are both hens. I've had Easter egger chicks two years in a row. The ONLY way to tell is even colored chicks are hens. Splotchy colors are roos. Doesn't matter what color. Even is hen, splotchy roo. I thought all six last year were roos for a while. I have a hen that looks just like your brown one. She turned out to be an olive egger.

I'm going to vote pullet for now on these too. Yes, the brown ones comb is a little pink, but I have had several EE's that have gotten pink combs very early, and are now laying eggs. Please update us in a few weeks!
