Easter Egger Sexing "tips and tricks" *Pictures Included*

They are all 7 weeks tomorrow. Here are some more photos. Thanks!!

please ignore the yogurt stains on the top of her head. ;)

Tikka is the one in the front in all photos.
I want to say it's a pullet!

But I think you will need another week to find out. We had another bird on here last year with this coloring that turned out to be a pullet, but the majority with this patchy look are cockerels. Tikka's comb is much redder than normal for a 7 wk pullet, and the outer rows (ridges) look like they are developing, so I'm siding with Junebuggena and predicting this bird is a cockerel. Hope I'm wrong for your sake! Would really appreciate an update in a week. Torn on this one.

I got these a couple weeks ago and was told the were EE's one looks like it is a ROO, I am new to chickens so I am not sure.

I think you may have several cockerels in the group, the one above for sure is a cockerel, but I am questioning whether it is an EE. Do you know what breeds were used to make them? Also, how old are they?

they were about 7-8 weeks in that pic, from what I was told. not sure what breed were used. only one has the big comb.

Quote: Most EEs are created with Ameraucanas, which have pea combs. Yours may have been from Legbars, which have single combs and blue shells.

In your fist photo, the yellow headed chick at the back looks to have a big comb also. They will not all develop at the same time.

I will defiantly update. How do I make sure you guys see it? Do I quote my original post?

Started looking into keeping aloo laws, just in case. I love her.

Praying that Twilight is a girl, but having major concerns. 5 weeks old today. What do you think?
