Easter Egger Sexing "tips and tricks" *Pictures Included*

I got seven birds 2 silkies and five Easter eggers the run is an 80sq and coop is 30sq I'm Making the coop bigger soon

Could be a space issue that is causing the aggression. And if your male bird is young, ample space is essential. If the girls can't escape him, it causes a lot of stress that may make them more on edge.

Alright! So my pictures of from my three day old Pullets... so I'm just looking for opinions of those far more experience with EE's... and I will update with pictures as they get older (they are a week today, and aside from wing feathers coming in more prominently, not much change)

Lets hear what you think.. are they pullets or should I be worried?! LOL!

Much too young to even try to guess at. Try again when they are mostly feathered in.

I figured, but it was worth a shot! Lol! Thank you though, and yes, they are super cute! And they have such personalities!

Good morning peeps! I am not new to BYC but am to this thread.
On the subject of sexing chicks...and old wives tales...please, please no rude comments
I use my husband's wedding ring tied to a piece of embroidery thread, I can't explain why, but for me it works. His ring is 14K white gold. I ordered 20 purebred Ameraucanas out of Princeton TX. last year. I had never tried it before, it said I had 7 pullets and 13 cockerels. I chalked it up to B.S. and forgot about it, posting pics on the AM thread. It turned out to be right!
This is only my opinion. My DH was curious this year when I bought some hatchery chicks from Orschlens. It definitely swung in circles for girls and back and fourth for boys.
I used it over my female cats, it said girls, male cat, boy. My daughter, girl, my son, boy. Our male German Shepherd, boy. Our female Sheltie, girl. Myself, girl, DH, boy. It has been 100% accurate so far!
I have heard it explained as magnetism, but gold isn't magnetic, I've heard it explained as magnetism from within the person. I know an old oil man who uses a copper rod to find oil, he's filthy rich and swears by it. His opinion was that the reason it works for some people and not others is because of the magnetism from within the human body.
Just sayin...I believe it works. There are a lot of things we cannot explain yet in our universe. It has been 100% accurate for me so far. I know a lot of you will think it's B.S. But, in a happy camper! I have hesitated to post this before cause I didn't want everyone to think I'm crazy but, it's been accurate enough to make me a believer.
To add, I touch the ring to the body first, then hold it a few inches above.

Its a home made pendulum, which is a method for reading energy. Beings put out there own vibe based on gender alone, so it can be a good method for determining sex. I've actually done it for several pregnant friends who weren't far enough along for a doctor to do an ultrasound and medically confirm sex... and it was right every time. Pendulums can be metal, stone, wood... there are many options. Personally, I own several, but have made due with a penny wrapped in dental floss (HAHAHA! Seriously, I was a dental tech in the Air Force... and there was an abundance of dental floss but no string... we made it work!). It may be an old wives tale, but speaking from the field of magic that science is still working on explaining, it is a more reliable old wives tale than pretty much all the others out there.

Oh absolutely!

The mind WANTING it to be one way can definitely sway it... which is why I never bothered "sexing" my own kid when I was preggo, as I knew it would be swayed by my own thoughts. But, if you can separate the want from act of finding fact, it sure beats out the old wives tale of lifting a chick by the neck to see what the feet do (please, please, please don't anyone do that!!) or googling until your mind is numb with conflicting facts!
