Nope, every group of chicks has some that are more inclined towards leading and others toward following. Males and females. It's true that hormones will eventually drive the males to take a more dominant role but that doesn't often apply to such young chicks.
Ok cool. And again, though it's simply too early to tell for sure... should I feel suspicious of how raised this little 12-day-old babe's comb is? @PeepersMama , you were advising me on this chick on another thread too, curious to know whether your "twin" EE had the same comb this early? Or is there really absolutely no way to draw a conclusion here. I pulled out my fancy camera tonight and took some new snaps of this super-gorgeous chick...
