I literally know nothing about chickens but ended up with these today, so don’t judge the last minute pen. Tomorrow we build. What do you guys think? I’m hoping at least two hens here, not sure of the other brightly colored one on the far right

I see one cockerel and one pullet and am unsure about the black.
Why’d you get chickens if you don’t know anything about them? Hope that’s not a rude question.

Put a 2x4 on the ground for them so they have something to roost on when they sleep tonight. 3 ft long if you have one.

One on the right is definitely a cockerel. I can't see the black one well enough to tell and solids are harder.
Put something in there for them to roost on. Otherwise they will be covered in poop.

That’s what I assumed! Thank you! Yes- they got a makeshift roost for the night per my neighbors instructions. I don’t have many questions, yet!
