Easter Egger Sexing "tips and tricks" *Pictures Included*

I would actually be a little concerned about Elizabeth's red comb at 8 weeks of age. White EE's can be tricky, so wait and see on her. Cleopatra and Catherine have very common pullet coloring, so most likely are female. The last one is precious, looks like she's feathering out to a very pale partridge/wild-type with a red-blonde head. Can't wait to see them as they develop

I think I am going to name the youngest one Peaches. Seems to suit her. Elizabeth still has the reddest comb out of the others but I will have more pictures tomorrow when I do weights and pictures for the whole flock.

Oh, that is a relief. I was just devastated at the thought of having to turn her in to soup, or send her away to a farm somewhere (where in all likelihood she would get turned into soup anyways). It is going to be a long 3 weeks. I've been taking weekly pics, so I'll put up some new ones at the end of the week to see what y'all think.

Ginger is a tricky one. The reddish tones are all over and more like the brownish color of a pullet than the deep red of a cockerel. The tail looks feminine and the comb isn't developing yet. All good news. But, that reddish tone is a bit splotchy so I'd hesitate to call it a pullet with any certainty. I'd say late blooming male is a maybe. She or he is sure to be striking so even if you end up with crowing, a life with a harem is still a possibility.

Basil and Paprika are very girly.

I'm leaning pullet, but not sure because of those curled saddle feathers and the tail, cause that is what mines tail looked

That tail and proud stance is just her Mediterranean beauty showing. Sometimes the white egg breed used to improve production shows like that. She's all girl by patterning.

My 7 Week Olds :ya
Pretty sure these are both cockerels. The first has a white patch in the wing interrupting the pattern and I think I see a hint of yellow in the scrunched up neck. It would be nice to see a photo with the neck not scrunched. The second has the tell-tale red that is all boy.
