No need to apologize

He's got a home either way- (just not w/me if he's a crower

) I'm just trying to figure it out so that if needed I can replace him with another girl and be done with the integration process. I hate integrating. Stresses me out!! And the birds too

ItsAZOO32 - Very likely he'll be looking for a new home if you are interested!

mercedes, I hope you are right! You called a lot more girls than I did! On Pic #6, I see your point, but take a look at the 3 that are for sure boys from these black chicks that are so similar. I think the chick on the right in pic#6 is strictly Plymouth Rock breeding as are the 3 in the photo below. I think the one on the left in Pic #6 was from a blue egg, so at least had an EE or olive egger mother and the white ameracauna daddy, unless the mom slipped out to visit the Rock roo one day! (I know one of these 5 was from a blue egg, and I'm guessing it is the one with the dark comb.)

Oh I WISH!! I can't have Roos where I live

I've re-homed several beautiful roosters since the hatching/chicken bug bit me. I had a Lt Brahma roo the a honestly researched caponizing and de-crowing.. I adored him so much!

No idea on those three
idunno.gif
But the one on the right seems to have a "rooish stance"and the left one has a large red comb. Can't see their tail feathers.I don't know anything about Plymouth Rocks but does the black on their legs mean girl?In production blacks it does, all three of mine have it and they did turn out to be girls.

mercedes - The last 3 are definitely roosters. I put them up to show you how much more roo-ish they look compared to the one you think is a roo in the previous photo of 2 black chicks. I know what you are saying about the wattles on the one on the left in the photo of the 2 - but I am hoping that the comb is more of an indicator!

Oh - I forgot about your question about the leg colors on the PRs. I have no idea. The 5 black chicks look so much alike, but I know one came from a blue egg. The breeding on the rocks is: daddy was a black bird with gold hackles and epaulets; his daddy was a Partridge Plymouth Rock X one of halo's blue rocks (accidental mating). The hens were black rocks from halo - gorgeous birds! The one of the five that would be an EE, because it came from a blue egg, is supposed to be sired by a white ameracauna roo, but there was one episode I know of that an EE hen got through the fence to the black/gold rock roo, so it is possible the one from the blue egg was sired by the him. Long story - I know. Just trying to explain why I am not totally sure which one of the last 5 chicks is the "EE."

Verlaj, whatever they are you sure have handsome chicks and you take lovely pictures.Wish mine would sit still long enough to get a good pic.
