Out of curiosity and my inexperience with combs is that a single row pea comb? Or something else? I have such a hard time figuring out variations with combs...or just combs in general. lol
That is his new name. I've heard that Groucho comment from 3 different people now!Aoxa, he's a beaut! Hope you show pics as he matures. Love the Groucho eyebrows!
now I thought someone said all pea combs were roos, and single combs are hens. So I am confused by this! he is the same age as mine. So how do you know when it's a roo?
ok, nevermind, scratch my last one! didn't look like pea comb from the side! haha! he's handsome! and yes, def Groucho!
I think you misunderstood. Cockerels have swollen combs earlier than pullets. They usually have 3 rows of peas raised on their combs. Pullets have 3 rows as well, but only the middle should be raised.now I thought someone said all pea combs were roos, and single combs are hens. So I am confused by this! he is the same age as mine. So how do you know when it's a roo?
That is too cool. Wonder if the tiny comb is linked with that color pattern?.. Hmm...Curious minds want to know...
Ah! Yes it is 3 row. lol Sorry. From the side it just looked like a large single row. Thanks for the different view and clarification! And I too vote for Groucho.
