Yeah, from haunting this thread and my own personal experience, you've.got two very beautiful little cockerels there. Its the color on the wings that's the biggest giveaway. And that pretty patchwork/calico coloring. Yours are.going to be really good looking when they grow up.

i agree they are both cockerels. I have a cockerel that looks very much like yours.

Hey guys, what is the difference between an EE and Ameracauna? We might be getting S'mores from a friend and we are wonder what she is. Thanks !

The short answer is that EEs are Ameraucanas that do not meet the standard for showing (wrong color feathers/legs, wrong comb, no beard/muffs) or birds that have been crossed. S'mores looks like an EE. Did you get her?

The Ameraucana Breeders Club has some pics of the accepted varieties.

One more question. I have a black EE that we have affectionately named "the crow" It is approximately 3 months old give a couple of weeks....What sex do you think it is? Forgive the horrible pictures. It doesn't like having it's pictures taken. And does anyone know what the cream colored and the red colored one's breed is? The store that I got them from told me, but I don't remember. Also What do you experts think the sex of the BR is?

Solid colors are harder to sex but if there is no comb growth at three months, I'd expect that crow is a pullet. The barred chicken in front is pretty light and has a well-developed comb so I'd suspect cockerel but you neglected to mention the age for it and that is important information. Oh, and the red one looks like a sexlink.
