Easter Egger Sexing "tips and tricks" *Pictures Included*

Thanks so much for all your help! We have 8 chickens. If any of them turned out to be boys I was worried if we could still keep him. But from all your opinions it looks like I have all girls. 3 EE's l, 3 silver Wyandottes and 2 isa Browns. Hopefully every time I see more chickens I want them all. lol guess 8 is a good start. The EE's are definitely the most unique!

They will all free range soon enough. Does anyone have opinions on free ranging tips? Or is it just as simple as open the door?

2½ weeks is too young to be sure, but the one on top is probably a cockerel.  The 3 rows of peas will get more obvious.  Bottom one is more likely pullet with the single ridge down the center, but the comb could plump up in the next couple of weeks and turn her into a boy. :p
I thought that could be the start of a 3 row pea comb. This chick feathered out first and has the biggest tail out of all the chicks and I thought it maybe a Pullet but now I doubt it!

Here are a few newer photos from today of our EE who is still in question. this chick is about 7 to 8 weeks old, possibly 9 weeks but for sure at least 7 to 8.

VWEERS - Pullet. Take some pictures on the ground and I think she'll have a different stance. Stance is the only thing I see that says anything other than pullet.

Chickee & NewMarch- I love that we have what could be triplets. All about the same age, too. :-D NewMarch- pullet. I'm gonna call it and stick to it. I think the red will become more of a pattern. I don't think those are coverlet patches. I think mine is getting something similar. And thankfully mine is FINALLY getting some ear covering. Plain/smooth faced is one thing but naked is not an option at my house! (sorry to all the NN peeps out there, but *shudder* Ewww) I'll do my next installment soon as well. I'm gonna stick to pullet until proven otherwise with mine. It seems the heat is a factor with it's comb being reddened early on. I have no proof of this, but it was cooler the other day and it was noticeably paler then.

Katatonic- I understand even silkie people can't reliably sex the chicks until 16 weeks of age give or take - so GOOD LUCK!

So I think my EE is a male ! I haven't been able to get a good solid picture bc she /he is so fast, so I snapped this one this am.
