Pretty sure my two are girls. They squat and everything. Age is almost 12 weeks.

Question. I have a little white chick. (chick is about 3-4 weeks old)Mother is an EE, Father was a Turken. So is the chick an EE? Does not have a Turken neck nor does it have green legs.

Anything that does not fit into a breed standard, and lays blue/green eggs - is an EE in my opinion.
OK, guess I'll have to wait until around the middle of Sept to find out what color eggs this chickie lays to see if it's an EE.

I have 12 eggs in the incubator. Mothers are EE, Roo is a Light Brahma mix. I'd Really like to have some blue and/or green eggs!

Pullets or roos??? The pink tint to the black adn white one is not nearly that pink the light did that. it is as dull in color as the whitish one.feathers normally lay pretty flat and spread out, these are almost 6 weeks old. The black one was the quickest to get feathers.. But I had someone question the coloring thinking this was a roo because of the colors. can anyone help please?? This is my sons chick and we just had to get rid of my RIR's because one was a roo and I can not have them in town. I am in a panic.. lol

The one on the left, could be either. One on the right - Girl. One on the left could wait another week or two.

No whites as they're not sexable by color, however if someone had good photos to show the signs of a white male that would be nice. (shots in detail of the glossy feathers for example)

EE x Anything is an EE.

its been a while since I have been here...my EE girls grew beautifully, but now, we have babies! I placed several of their eggs under my broody Australorps...I have 2 that just hatched, I am thinking chick #2 is a male, due to red feathers on his wings...can anyone help me out here, or is it really too soon? I also did the feather sexing and the 2 are different...I think chick #1 is a female...what say you!?

Chick #2, suspected roo

Chick #1, suspected girl, see her wings, you can see little pin feathers, under the rest of her wing. My avatar could be her mother...

My EE is 5 weeks old now. Is her sex obvious yet? Is she a pullet or roo? She dug a hole in the ground outside today and started dusting in it. Now, that was a sight to see! Sure looks uncomfortable to me.

These are pictures I took this afternoon of the chick whose Momma is EE and Roo is a Turken. Hatched 4/8/12. She is 1/2 the size of the other chicks Gracie is fostering that are 4 days older than her.
