Easter Egger Sexing "tips and tricks" *Pictures Included*

You were swindled, plain and simple. When they won't let you see the farm for biosecurity, that's a valid reason. So, ask for photos of some of their breeding stock. I suspect they won't be able to provide any. That's when you go elsewhere.

Did you get any females? Does the SLW look like a SLW?

So here is updated photos of my EE that I posted a couple weeks ago. I have also included his photos at different stages to help people tell if they have a Roo or pullet

So should I lean towards a Roo?

Thoughts on these 2 EE's? Both about 6 weeks old, brought them home on March 8th. They are our "lap chickens" and prefer being held. :) #1 (thought this one was a female but it's been picking fights and running circles with our bantam mille roo and a couple silkies) #2 (pretty sure Grey half-crowed this morning lol)

The SLWs look like hatchery quality SLWs. One female, one male. Both were supposed to be pullets as were the EEs. All were 1 week old. All of the chickens I have, I've bought from them (it's a local ranch). I have 6 New Hampshires (I've had a total of 9 NHs from them, all pullets but purchased at 7-9 weeks old), 2 Cuckoo Marans (I bought four at 7 weeks old. 2 were male, all supposed to be pullets). So it's not my first rodeo with them, so I now know to expect straight run even when it's supposed to be pullets (prics are the same) and to expect HQ. The thing that made me laugh was that they made a big distinction between the chipmunk babies being EEs and their 'white Ameraucanas'. I honestly wonder if they even realize that their original stock wasn't purebred.

The photos they use on their site are from Feathersite and credited as such.

Yea I got these guys from a poultry swap meet and the guy said they were mixed I assumed they were ee's. I see more leg horn though in my novice opinion. Also from string I saw that white almost assuredly rooster. This is the other suspect:

I crossed my Ameraucanas and others with a leghorn rooster and every last chick was white. I set brown, green eggs and a few white eggs, every one that hatched was white. I do have a few with pea or rose combs but they are all white. I even have one with puffy cheeks but she is white. They all have yellow legs too. I wanted a bright blue egg layer to take to the fair. :idunno
