Easter Egger Sexing "tips and tricks" *Pictures Included*

Hello everyone,
Just wanted some gender opinions on my EE chick. She (or he?) is about 8 weeks old. So far the coloring is all black and white, no red splotches. The comb is not huge but it is a little redder than my two other EE's which I'm sure are girls. This chick is also smaller than the other two (same age) and feathered in later. These black and white EE's sure are hard to guess! Thanks!!

She looks just like my Cleo...and Cleo's beak is also redder than my other EEs....interesting! She's pretty!

Pointed hackle and saddle feathers would not show on an 8 week old bird; they don't even begin growing until at least 12 weeks, and don't show through the other feathers until 16-20 weeks.

Is there a page that defines terms? I just posted about what is smuttiness and now I am wondering what sex-link means.

In my newbie understanding, sex-link is a breed if chicken that can be sexed at hatch. Usually a mix of two different breeds to produce tell tale spots or wing pattern.

Smokey definitely is getting more pullety, though her comb is a little red and her chest a little splotchy. Hm, she's a confusing little bird.
