Easter Egger Sexing "tips and tricks" *Pictures Included*

I have 5 EE hens, and 4 of them hold their tails erect. One of them looked (before she died of egg peritonitis) much like yours. She was a pretty bird. I don't have a good picture of the 4th one, I guess. These girls lay a variety of green eggs varying from almost blue to gray/green.

Ok. So even if it walks around with its tail up in the air sometimes? That's what really threw me off! Lolol.

My very pretty EE will not lay any eggs.

Something broke into the coop and killed her.

Oh no! How terrible. Hope your others are ok.

Ok so here goes. I'm not even sure if these r EE. They were supposed to be.
And this one
This is same one as previous
Here's a different one
And another one
And one more lol
Yes, the top 2 look like EEs without the fuzzy faces. The other 3 definitely look like crosses, but not sure what. If they are all 6 months old, I think they are pullets, although that last one made me look twice!

cockeral or pullet

i can only keep if a pullet/hen
ive been told in another place she looks like a cockeral
Looks like this bird has a single comb, so wondering if it is an EE. Just based on the size and color of the comb, I think she is a pullet, assuming she is about 5-6 weeks old. There could be some dark red "cockerel" coloring on the wings, but the pics are too dark on my computer to see clearly.

Just wanted to share some pictures. And ask one question about this batch. Will the Roo (last pictured) get more color over time? Will the splotchy colors become more of a solid color area as he gets older?

Lucy, my 17 week old EE pullet

17 week old EE pullet

17 week old EE pullet

Rose, 17 week old EE pullet

17 week old EE Roo

IF you are asking about the red splotches, then yes they'll stay and could become a little more red. Looks like my first EE rooster this go around with chickens startesd again in 2009.

so u think she is a cockeral
she does have some dark
on her
so we can only keep her if shes a pullet or hen
i was told she was a cockeral bysomeone and then by someone else i was told she was a pullet

The 3 and last one in the pics I posted are the same siZe actually same weight and height and same size comb. Those are really my ones in question and the one in between those has yellow legs so idk what to think of it! Lol. That one is pretty skiddish. Thnks 4 the input! :)
