first 3 seems like pullets to me looking at comb, last one (black with white on face looks roo- looks like 3 rows on comb from what I can see/tell. But thats just my opinionHere are the chicks we hatched. Now at 6 weeks. A few weeks ago we predicted these were female & gave away the other 12 hatch-mates. Do they still look like pullets? Any twins out there? (I'd like to know how they may feather out.)
Dad of all = Brown Easter Egger (He hatched from a pink egg.)
Chick 1: Came from a pinkish brown egg. Mom is large gold (gray penciling), single combed, mutt.
Chick 2: Came from a Green-blue egg. Mom is golden(black penciling) Easter Egger.
Chick 3: Came from a Green-blue egg. Mom is black & white Easter egger.
Chick 1: Came from a Peach tinted egg. Mom is all white with pea comb; prolific layer. Have no idea why this chick is all black?
This chick sometimes gets pinkish comb in the heat.

Looks to be a cross of Naked Nek and Polish and since she is laying a green egg most like some Ameruacana/Easter Egger in her. SHe sure is beautiful.Hi everyone! Though I subscribed to Backyard Chickens sometime last year, this is my first post ever. I live in Panama and started raising backyard chickens about 2 years ago, by chance! I have 5 hens and a roo at the time, the last of the hens arriving about two weeks ago. Her name is Lola, and I have no idea what breed she is, other than she is quite a few breeds in one, you know, a mutt, an adorable one! If anyone in the forum is feeling adventurous, feel free to post your guess. There's obviously a naked neck gene there, but before I forget, I must say she lays large, beautiful green eggs! Thanks in advance!![]()
It is a bit young to be sure. The feather pattern right now is that of a pullet, but that can change. The comb is pale (like girl) but a bit wide (like boy). If you can post new pictures in a few weeks, it'll be easier to tell.
#1, 2 and 4 are girls. #3 however has too much red for me to be sure. How does that chick behave towards the other 3 chicks? Here are the chicks we hatched. Now at 6 weeks.
