Thanks so much, abserbean...I'll take some reassurance with this. I know the pecking order is nothing to mess around with, but as first-timers we're quite watchful and just trying to figure it out! So glad this is a place of many experts.

Here is a comparison of my two blue/grey chicks. At four weeks you couldn't tell them apart, at six one was starting to show as a roo but wasn't very convincing, and by eight weeks it is obvious that we have one roo and one pullet.

how old is the chicken? Are both pictures the same bird? If so it's a cockerel.

No they are different birds thinking they are about 3 months old have side views but can't get them to attach
