Chickmammy, you have to teach them to go into the coop at night. You have to get them in there every single night. It might take a few weeks, but they will eventually go in on their own.
 
I locked last years chick inside the coop for 3 days with food and water and then finally let them out. I never had to tell them to go to bed they headed right in the first night out.
 
I am finally back with pictures! Okay, here is my EE chick, sugar. Once again she is 5 weeks old. Has coloring of roo, but comb of pullet. Any help is welcome.
Another case of wait a week. Could go either way, but I'm leaning toward pullet. The darker feathers are on the wing and other places as well, so maybe more of an overall pattern. Hope you can post next week.
