Does this look like a male or female? Bought ..it from an auction last week thinking it was female but not very sure.

I'm new to having chickens and really love the EE I have so I got a couple more but we don't know if they are roos or girls. Tried to go by coloring but not sure now.

At 12 wks old, the first one is probably a cockerel, but I'd like to see a better side view showing color and a better shot of the comb to be sure.
The other three are pullets, although a side view of the third one would make it more certain.

The overall shape and color look very cockerel. The dark coming in on hackles and wings is more pronounced on blue males. A good shot of the comb would help make it certain, but he looks like he doesn't want to get near you!

Do you know how old it is? I thought it was older than the comb is showing. Young cockerel is still my bet, and they are often put in their place by older hens. Can you keep it? Calm and friendly are good traits to pass on if you ever breed.

So far I have never heard a crow, so as long as he stays quiet or quietish( like not a constant crower) I can keep him. Now just to find him a female of the same breed(he's in with four other females) ha-ha he's such a sweet heart. No clue as to the age I bought him from an auction last week hoping he was a she and I was gonna have blue eggs:( but he is already a little taller than my oldest chicken (the white one that likes to photo bomb)

Do these look like Cockerels or Pullets? They are 4 months old.

The mostly white one looks like a pullet since I see no sign of a comb in the pics. Normally I'm suspicious of bigl white wing patches, but if no comb, then female. Do you have pic?

Second one is a cockerel. Big pink comb and what looks like dark red on the wings are indicators.
