Easter Egger Sexing "tips and tricks" *Pictures Included*

This really helped me out! I have a Easter Egger and wasn't sure if it was a girl or boy, from the looks of it i have a girl. I will post a picture to see what everyone else thinks.

Very timid as well.
Still a bit too young to be sure. If dark red doesn't show up on the shoulders by 8 weeks, it's a girl.

It's still too young for me to be able to guarantee it a pullet, but so far everything is pointing in that direction. Update us in a few weeks!

I try to get my babies sexed straight awayby 3-5 days asthe pullets have a double row of wing feathers and if you turn them over and gently pull their vent out, the roos have a little bump on top where their penis iw located

This is Atlas! I'm not sure if atlas is a boy or girl. The comb is really read, but no where near as big as the roo that we have and know it's a EE roo so I'm not sure because looking at atlas and looking my EE hen and my EE roo Atlas looks like both like I can see a hen and I can see a roo... So I'm not sure!! Please help!!

Both Atlas and the barred birds in the last picture are male. Do you see how thin and pointed his back feathers are? Those are male saddle feathers.

Do keep posting pictures! I have raised just 5 EEs from 1 day to adulthood but have seen hundreds here and I don't think I've ever seen one with a wide solid red "necklace".

My GUESS is the barring will slowly give way to more red and some sort of patterning. Kind of like this. Lots of barring as a young chick, slowly transitioned to black and orange on each feather:

Atlas is 100% Cockerel. He will grow into a very handsome boy.
