This really helped me out! I have a Easter Egger and wasn't sure if it was a girl or boy, from the looks of it i have a girl. I will post a picture to see what everyone else thinks.

Very timid as well.

The Red Star is the red chick's mom.
Barred Rocks are extended black with barring. That extended black is dominant and will cover just about every color/pattern.

Both very pretty chicks, probably a little young still to tell. About 2-4 more weeks and we should be able to say.

As the other posters said, these chicks are much to young to sex. They are both very pretty, I can't wait to see what they look like when they feather out!

I have 3 8 week Easter Eggers. So, far I can tell that 2 of them are cockerals. The 3rd I believe is a pullet due to its pale small single row comb and general demeanor. However, its coloring pattern is throwing me off. I really hope she is a pullet. I hatched out 13 eggs(Easter Egger, Buff Orpington, and Australorp) and got 3 pullets, 8 cockerals and 1 unknown (this Easter Egger) What does everyone else think?
