Crowing
This one is tough. The comb is small and pale, the coloring and pattern are pretty regular and even. That red is on the wing, but it doesn't look dark enough for 'rooster red', and it's in the wrong spot. Cockerels usually get red leakage primarily on the the shoulder.I have 3 8 week Easter Eggers. So, far I can tell that 2 of them are cockerals. The 3rd I believe is a pullet due to its pale small single row comb and general demeanor. However, its coloring pattern is throwing me off. I really hope she is a pullet. I hatched out 13 eggs(Easter Egger, Buff Orpington, and Australorp) and got 3 pullets, 8 cockerals and 1 unknown (this Easter Egger) What does everyone else think?![]()
I think this one is a wait and see.
