Several people have said pullet. I think it is a cockrel. What do all of you think about this olive egger?

So that makes it 11 weeks? Tough call. Leaning toward pullet because of shape, slender legs, smallish comb even though it's pink. Wait and see. I would hang on to it just in case.

Can anyone tell me if my chicks are pullets or cockerels? I have two Bantams and two Ameraucanas. I have heard that there are many types of Bantams and Ameraucanas. I was told that Bantam #1 looks like a Porcelain D'uccle. I was also told that my 2 Ameraucanas look like Easter Eggers. Can anyone clarify what types of Bantams and Ameraucanas I have? I know that they are very young to tell the gender, but I am so anxious.

No idea what your bantams are. Your Ameraucana are Easter Eggers. True Ameraucana are always sold as specific color varieties. If no variety is specified, it's probably an Easter Egger. All are much to young to even guess at gender.

I'm new to all things chickens but eager to learn. I purchased 5 EE mixes from a friend and I'm curious about their sexes. They are only 5 weeks so I know you can't tell definitively until much later but it would still be fun to guess anyway right?  I'm posting pictures of them with names (my 4 year old named them) and my guesses. I'm guessing based on what I have learned here and observation, so I could be totally wrong but, hey, I'll learn. Lol! Feel free to chime in!

1. Pea: roo definitely

2. Kyle: was leaning pullet now I'm leaning roo due to the 3 peas on the comb. This would be sad because she (see what I did there?) is my favorite!

3. Bird: roo? The comb confused me. I guess this is what you get from mutts huh?

4. Beak: pullet

5. Fella: pullet I hope! She was hatched from a beautiful blue egg.

The only pullet I see is Fella.

Figures. Lol! Oh well, we have more coming (orpington and brahma) and I KNOW most of them will be little ladies because they will be sexed. Also yay! Hopefully she lays blue!

Welcome to BYC! Great pictures you provided.

1. Yes, cockerel

2. I would wait and see about Kyle. Does not look like a typical pea comb and very little pink. No dark red on shoulders, but thick looking legs (least reliable clue, in my book). This one seems to be developing a bit more slowly than the others and the comb is fairly large, so... Leaning cockerel, but hoping otherwise.

3. Beak is a cockerel. The top part of the comb is fat and wide (I see 3 rows there) and raised and pink. Also, solid white on wings is disrupting what would be an even female pattern, but he's a boy.

4. Fella looks like a pullet so far. However, since she did not inherit a pea comb, chances are reduced that she will lay a blue or green egg. Those two traits are very close together on the chromosome, and usually inherited together.
