With the red on his shoulders I would say rooster. Does the comb have one row or three? EE rooster have three rows to their comb. I have two of them. I should know. Lol

These chicks are getting bigger. What are usually the first signs you look for when it comes to gender for EEs?

I know it's much too early to actually determine gender i'm just curious if there are specific things to look for.

I choose pullet on both based on comb and even pattern.

OK that makes two of you.

Make that three daxigait. I think what could sway people toward cockerel are those longer tail feathers but if you look at the hackle and sickle feathers, they are rounded, not pointed. And that comb is not big or red at all. 14 weeks a cockerel would likely be waking you up at dawn as well. If that is a cockerel it surely is the slowest maturing one ever.
