Thanks Wishing4Wings. They don't stand still for long and move pretty quick so rather hard to catch. They were from a friend who has a very mixed breed flock so I have no idea what parentage they have. I'll try and get a better look at them and check those feathers.

I'm guessing an EE on this 8 week old. Roo or pullet? Feathered legs.
Not sure on this one. The comb looks fairly large, but I'm having trouble deciding if it's red/pink or more pale like a pullet. My initial reaction was cockerel, but I'm just not sure. Maybe a couple different pics in better light would help.

And welcome to BYC!

I'm a newbie, so take my opinion with a grain of salt. The comb is really large for 8 weeks. Also, something about the feather pattern makes me think this is a cockerel that hasn't developed the red patches yet. I'm definitely leaning towards cockerel, but the comb is still fairly pale. It could be the marans in the mix causing the larger comb. I would trust the opinions of @junebuggena or @Wishing4Wings

Sorry if this is a repost. Is it possible to tell from this view based on colour or feathering if this 9 week old Easter egger is a pullet - it is not mine for sale online.

Thank you
