Easter Egger Sexing "tips and tricks" *Pictures Included*

Hey all I have 5 new babies to sex, my opinion is 3 hens 2 roo's, I will post some pictures shortly, have to go get them to hold still for pictures first.........
they are now almost 5 weeks old almost feathered, I hatched eggs from my EE roo over my EE hen and my SLW hen, 5 out of 8 hatched, 2 quitters at day 19 and 1 severe cross beak that couldn't have pipped if wanted too.......... so anyway brb with some pictures, but posting so I don't loose this thread again............argggggggggg Kim
OK Lots of pictures, can't get them by themselves but these are the 5,
1 looks like and owl in the face, one is cream with some brownish white tipped feathers on the wings and a grayish head and belly, 2 are the typical partridge color, and the yellow legged chick is white with gray and black in the feathers.

Barred, in your second picture, what breed is the little red against the wall? I have 10 mystery chicks I can't identify.

I have two reds, and still trying to identify them. They were sold to us as Rhode Island Reds, but they seem to have pea comb. The guy that sold us the chicks had RIR (with single comb) and some Buckeyes...sooooo we think we might of got some Buckeye?

Ok EE eggsperts....I'm suspicious of this one....is she a he?

A few days old....she's the one in the back corner

At 4 weeks

At 8 weeks (sorry you can't see the comb...this was the only one not blurry)

Thanks!

OK, I've been perusing this thread for the last couple of days and I'm going to take a stab at sexing the last couple of posts.

GhostRider65, they all look like pullets to me, but if you could post a closer side picture of each of them so we can see the saddle feathers better. It doesn't look like any of them have the dark red color on their shoulders or their backs, and their combs aren't too pronounced.

Mskayladog, yours looks like a pullet to me but wait another week or so for the back and saddle feathers to grow in more.

SunnysideupstateNY, pullet, the red color on the wings isn't on the shoulders or on the back, no pronounced comb, a good even flow of coloring of the feathers, and the legs aren't thick. Saddle feathers look rounded to me and not falling straight off of the back. And, she's fluffy. The boys don't look all puffed out like a cotton ball, they look thinner and 'muscular'.

So, experts, how did I do?

I would like to know how Teva did too!

i have a sexing thread for ee's going but this ones going to be pics only. i will be including the link to this thread as well. mine i am hoping to get pics of chicks from 3 weeks to adults (there is no limit to how many pics you can post but please include the age of your chicken when the pic was taken). i hope that that will also help in sexing ee's by showing the color difference's and the difference in combs as well on the chickens. if you can help out please do. also please indacate the gender of your chicken and if you have more than one please either use seprate post or hit the enter button at least 3-4 times then label your next chicken (you can include your chickens name if you want to). thank you to any one who wants to help with this. :)
