Update! My favorite chick is showing some odd coloring! What the heck do you call that color?! They are growing so fast! It looks like most of em are gonna be black/blue except for my favorite which is getting black and white looking feathers. Any ideas on his/her color? ❤

Yes odd colour for sure. They can change sooooo much it's hard to predict.

Take my rooster Pangoo, he look just like. Penguin when he was a chick (hence the name Pangoo), now he has long blonde tresses hahaha, I like to tell him he is my blonde surfer dude .

I think when your throwing in mixed genes, you really can't predict, but that is the fun of it!!

This looks like a fun project, and the little ones are adorable!

I'm not really sure about the color of a few of the chicks either. With the bit of patterning in the down of some of them I don't think I'd call it just leakage though.

Mom is an interesting color herself. She doesn't look like typical gold or silver based partridge silkies I've seen in the past.

I'm sorry I'm not much help but I know there are some real genetic experts in the Exhibition, Genetics, & Breeding to the SOP section of the forum that might be able to tell you more.

I really love the ones with the black and white coloring! Super pretty! Can’t wait to see how they feather out!

I'm gonna have to make a post there in a little while. I have no clue what color they are but it sure is pretty! Definitely not the color I was expecting. I thought they would all be like black or maybe blue.

UPDATE! I didn't forget about this I promise! I just forgot to post the pics. here they are on November 14th. I will get more pics over the next couple days. They have already changed so much since then! My favorite is getting prettier and prettier! I kinda feel my favorite will be a roo since they always act like a butt and stand a bit tall compared to some others. I'll still love em though! (Pleaassseee be mostly pullets though!❤) btw I'm holding the legs in some pics cause they are starting to flap away from me when I take pics.
