Easter Egger Thread!

I did get chicks this year - my first! Only my bigger Easter Egger is laying. She lays tealish eggs I posted a picture of her in this thread before.

I have 3 Laverder Ameraucana pullets and this EE Cockerel.

Pretty sure Jelly Bean is an EE. I was told Ameraucana, but once I researched it, I found that EEs are commonly called Americanas.

She lays light brown (tan) speckled eggs.

I guess since the Lavender Ameraucana pullets are not recognize as a color they are Easter Eggers as well. 2 pullets lay a mint green egg and the other is a sky blue.

Here is the same bird as of Sunday.

It will be interesting to see what other changes happen over the next few weeks.

So do I. I just wish I knew a bit more about what breeds would be needed to get this kind of result.

Definitely amaraucana x something or other... I would think other amaraucanas. However, that is totally speculators on my part! If you know where the chick came from, they might be able to narrow it down for you (for instance, mypetchicken supposedly only uses amaraucanas in their EE breeding). The blue on the head & tail is interesting... combined with the reddish bands, its quite unique!

I love the easter egger breed. The beard is so adorable. I got way too many ee and here soon so much more XD.

the babies with the really dark heads which is 3 has beards. XD
