I got 2 chicks from Tractor Supply about 6 weeks ago. They were both labeled as Americana’s, but I saw many people saying Easter Eggers were sometimes put as Americana’s. Which one are these?

they DO sell amerucaunas AND easter eggers. that just tells you they are two DIFFERENT breeds, very similar but different.Without even looking at the chicks, you have Easter Eggers.
Tractor S does not sell Ameracaunas. They sell Americanas which are Easter Eggers. In this case, Ameracauna hybrids.
Correct.hold on. easter eggers are hybrids (mixed breed) while amerucaunas are pure breed.

ALL EEs are hybrids which are created by breeding a pure breed chicken that has the blue egg gene to a different breed. Easter Eggers are not a breed but a mix.
